You may or may not know this, but I volunteer with a nonprofit organization committed to helping people achieve their American dream. One of the areas we are committed to is helping people live with respect and dignity. Despite their hard work, many adults struggle to pay for the basic necessities of life, such as housing, food and transportation. We often take this for granted, but I see this as an opportunity to help.

That's why I created a fundraiser to support Hispanic Unity of Florida, Inc. (HUF) in honor of their 35^th anniversary. The goal of this campaign is to raise $35,000. Each dollar raised, up to $35,000, will be matched by the Kenny & Sandy Tate Family Fund and the Community Foundation of Broward. In other words, we'll receive an additional $2 for each dollar raised. Proceeds will benefit HUF's Bridges Program which provides workforce training for the 21^st century. In one year, we can help 100 participants receive workforce education training & job placement in industries with employment and growth opportunities. We will help clients acquire better employment beyond low wage, entry level jobs—and you can be a part of it.
